Assalamu 'ala man ittaba -lhuda

How are you world? I guess I have been kind of neglectful of you all by not posting much on here. Fact is that life is hectic. Well, I have a bit of some free time. Tell me all - what's on your mind? I do not get much feedback and my blog is not too interactive, so my blog is sort of like a one way conversation. Don't you hate one way convos? There are lots of things to talk about. On the political front, there is the presidential election. In the Middle East, the Arab Spring is still burning. On the cultural tip, there is really nothing new concerning stateside PRican (Nuyoricans, etc. or whatever you want to call us non-islander PRicans). One bit of interesting information is that PRs in New York have doubled. This is amazing since our numbers were dwindling over the past ten years or so.

In regards to the din, the ummah is ever more divided. Unfortunately, those who work hard to bring forth solution don't follow the haqq (truth) and those who follow the truth don't seem to even think ponder at all about any solutions. The Muslims of the US are becoming more and more secular every day. One of the biggest promoters of secularism are the Islamists. Alhamdulillah, I am  close my eyes and act like there are no issue with the ummah in my homeland since I am currently living overseas. However, I can't do this. I see the micromanaging taking place with some shaykhs calling the shots from halfway across the world.

That's all for now, folks. Have a good night.
